The best thing about this monitor is the video quality at night! Afterall, most of the time that you are looking at the monitor is at night so it makes sense to have a monitor that does a good job with video at night. This one is the best I’ve seen, hands down. I’ve tried a cheaper video monitor and it didn’t even compare. I also messed around with one of those internet enabled monitors that you can view with your iPhone but the quality was horrible especially for night time video. Plus, the resolution on the phone is pretty tiny.

The price tag was a little high but I didn’t mind because I was so tired of messing around with junky video quality. To me, it’s worth paying extra, especially when you consider that you’ll be using this monitor for the next three years at least, maybe more if you have multiple kids. I just wanted something that worked well and had a nice big video screen.

Basically, this monitor was exactly what I was looking for – a high end baby monitor. Motorolla is a name I trust and they delivered big time with this monitor. There are a few annoyances with this monitor though and they are relatively minor. There is no backlight display so it can be hard to see which button I’m pressing at night. Also, it is surprisngly missing a voice activation feature which can put a real strain on the battery if it’s not plugged in. And I don’t use it much, but the two way communication sound quality is poor.
